Freedom from Corruption: Tanzania vs. The World
Tanzania's trend for freedom from corruption has been trending below the world's average and in order to step it all up, we have to remove the bias in the system. Tanzania follows the presidential democratic system to determine their future president that will have a 5-year term. However, the government creates and runs the entire country. The people get to choose who is in charge (based on popular vote) but they are not always represented well. The Millenium Development Goal has reached for at least half of the cabinet to include women so that women would have a say and become empowered. Currently only 30% of the cabinet includes women. No matter who is in the government system, their voices still are not accounted for equally. The citizens in Tanzania are not thoroughly consulted about new/pending laws. The government all systems of the country and citizens don't have much of a voice.
Business Freedom/Property Rights: Tanzania vs. The World
The basic trend of Tanzania's downfalls all point to the government which claims to be free and a democracy. The government of Tanzania owns profit of most businesses. The media and newspapers are owned and run by the government. Other businesses and companies are privately owned, but not as powerful. Most things in Tanzania are monopolies run by the country. The land is owned by the government as well.
Success
Basically, all of the downfalls are within the categories that include the negative affects reflected upon the citizens' freedom. Clearly the government has all of the control of Tanzania and that is where they are striving.
